Activism: Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips to ensure your safety in your activism.
Attire
It probably doesn't need to be said for those of us in Montana, but dress for the weather. Make sure that you are warm or cool enough, and protected from strong winds and precipitation.
Communication
Communication is becoming perilous under a regime that tolerates neither dissent nor diversity. The following secure messaging applications/services include end-to-end encryption (E2EE), ensuring that no other parties can see the exchanged messages. Note that you will still want to ensure that you know the identity of the person on the other end.
Community Defense
If you can, especially if you feel your presence of action(s) will violently upset someone, invite someone who will help stand up to angry and voilent counter-protesters. Remember to obey all firearm laws and never resort to violence except in self-defense.
